It is based on experiments and theories. Experiments can be performed in vivo (in humans or animals), in vitro (on cultured cells), or ex vivo (e.g., biological tests).<\/p><p>The ultimate goal of this research is the development of new, safe, and effective treatments in humans.<\/p><p>In the field of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), <a href=\"https:\/\/cerenef.org\/en\/recherche-neurofibromatoses-centre-de-reference-henri-mondor\/\">Professor Piotr Topilko's Inserm<\/a> at the IMRB of the Henri Mondor Hospital has developed a unique animal model reproducing NF1.
