Organized by region, the centers may accept only adults, only children, or both children and adults.
Adult centers take patients from the age of 15 years and 3 months.

The various medical and healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with Neurofibromatosis type 1 have decided to establish the NF-France network. The centers are distributed across mainland France and the French overseas territories. The aim is to promote translational and clinical research within the framework of multidisciplinary patient care, supported by reference centers, competence centers, interested healthcare professionals, and patient associations.
